Choreographer
Coach Jaseyah is a first-year Elementary Education Major at Marshall University in Huntington WV with a minor in theatre dance. He began dancing at the age of ten. He is familiar with styles such as Hiphop, Jazz, Contemporary, Majorette, Ballet, and West African. He enjoys the HBCU dance culture the most! Jaseyah has been captain of two majorette dance teams and one cheer squad. Jaseyah identifies as a “theatre baby” because he has been in musical theatre since the sixth grade. He gravitated towards dance because it “saved him from going down a dark path as a young man”. He describes dance as “a safe place for people from all walks of life” and “an escape from all troubles, worries and hardships”. Coach Jaseyah’s mission is to “guide children to become whatever they want to become while giving them the proper foundation and support that every child needs to become successful”. He believes that given the right tools, no child is unable to be successful in their own right.
